Many organisations (leagues, federations, school associations) run several competitions a year with overlapping pools of officials. comp.page shares one pool across every competition, so an official signs up once and is available across the whole organisation.

The org admin, convenors, and chiefs coordinate in comp.page instead of email. The admin sees the whole season in one view. Convenors and chiefs work inside their own competitions.
